Made in Mirrors in need for a Brazilian volunteer!

For the exchange project Made in Mirrors, Museum Het Domein is searching for a temporary volunteer who speaks Brazilian / Portuguese.

In the last week of September and the first week of October the Brazilian Tereza Neuma will come to Sittard. Tereza is a colleague of Jerika Vertegaal, head of the educational department of Museum Het Domein. Jerika visited Het Domein’s MIM partner MAMAM in Recife this July in the context of the cultural exchange' project Made in Mirrors (MIM). Recife is situated in the north - east of Brazil. A report of Jerika's educational program in Recife will follow soon on this website. During this exchange both colleagues will work respectively in Recife and in Sittard at a common education plan which will give each other new insights. This project is made possible thanks to Made in Mirrors which focused their exchange projects on the collaboration with Sittard and China last year and focuses on the collaboration with Recife, Brazil from this summer until March 2009.

Tereza will come to Sittard very soon, that is why we hope she will feel at home soon and can cooperate with the educational projects of Het Domein. Tereza is learning the English language at this moment thanks to an English course sponsored by MIM. We are looking for somebody who can translate for Tereza so she can feel at home in Sittard and can fully cooperate with the projects.
